2016 Eggs & Issues

Congratulations to Jack Moshell; Lee County’s 2016 STAR Student!  He chose Mrs. Kelly Dowling, as his STAR Teacher.  Mrs. Dowling taught Jack AP Calculus BC.

The Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE) Foundation, the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and the Georgia Department of Education sponsor the Student Teacher Achievement Recognition (STAR) program.  Students are selected on the basis of their SAT scores (during one test administration), class standing and scholastic averages.

On Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at The Bindery at Oakland Library, Jack and Mrs. Dowling were honored at the annual “Eggs and Issues” breakfast sponsored by the Lee County Chamber of Commerce, Colony Bank, Darton State College, Albany Technical College, and Sumter EMC to celebrate education in the county!

Jack is a senior at Lee County High School and is the son of Mark and Traci Moshell of Lee County.  We are proud of Jack and Mrs. Dowling and wish them continued success in regional and state competitions and in their future endeavors.

The featured speaker for the event was Dr. Jason Miller, Superintendant of Lee County Schools.
